Kent Graduates from Kindergarten

Last night my six year old, Kent, graduated from Kindergarten. They did the play of the Little Red Hen and then were given their "diplomas." It was really sweet and brought back a flood of memories from the past six years. It is hard to believe Kent is getting so big. Starting Kindergarten was not that big of a deal because he had been going to school since 3 year old kindergarten. But there is something about going into the 1st grade. First grade is REAL school.

I was one of the many parents there with my video camera while my husband held the digital camera. This is one of those days I will look back and remember when he graduates from high school and college, but he will probably forget about. I know these things are more for the parents and we are all grateful for these days.

Congratulations KENT! I am so proud of you!

I have a shelf in my living room where all my pictures of graduates are- both of my parents from college, and all of m ykids and nieces and nephews- from preschool...lol It seems funny to some people, but ANY graduation is a "next step" so I cherish it!
